The OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo XVII moonwatch is limited to 1,972 pieces to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the last moon landing in 1972.

The 42 mm stainless-steel case features a polished blue ceramic bezel and a tachymeter scale reflecting OMEGA CeraGold ™ technology. The dial is also made of polished blue ceramic, while the 18-carat yellow gold indexes and the hour and minute “moon” hands are coated with Super-LumiNova.

The sub-dial hands are made of 18K yellow gold or finished in matte white with vanish. The center chronograph hand, also in white, vanished with a red tip. The printed red letters “05:34 GMT” indicate the last time Captain Cernan left the lunar surface. The subdial at 9 o’clock depicts the god Apollo and the moon and is etched with chrome-coloured PVD.

Paired with a stainless steel bracelet, the watch is powered by the iconic OMEGA calibre 1861. The caseback is engraved with the words “45th ANNIVERSARY” and “Limited Edition” and the serial number of each piece. The words “APOLLO XVII” and “a tribute to Gene Cernan” on the Apollo 17 patch are embossed.
